Mercedes-Benz presented the new G-class as an Iconic Jewel and as an essential element in the UAE’s landscape. Mercedes-Benz unveiled the next Generation of the G-Class in the UAE on the 2nd & 3rd of July 2018 at Inked, Alserkal Avenue. The G-Class keeps its iconic look, almost indistinguishable from the old ones. Mercedes-Benz wished to create an unforgettable and luxurious experience for their VIP clients and new prospects introducing them to their latest and smartest G-class .

Referencing a central concept in Aristotelian philosophy, the Eudemonia collection prompts a refresher on human purpose and pursuit in order to propel society towards living authentically. The conception of Eudemonia alleges personal excellence and lasting happiness to be mankind’s purpose, the attainment of which requires cultivation of personal strength and contribution to the greater good.
Debuting in the still raw surrounds of the dramatic Quasar Tower, masterminded by architect Bernard Khoury, a selection of pieces from Eudemonia are styled upon a series of white mannequins in a curated guest experience.
Mannequin faces are covered by theatrical ﬂoral masks, creations of Sybil Layous, symbolizing the attractive but abnormal embellishments used to disguise oneself. Finally, the venue’s unﬁnished ﬂoor and walls compel us to revisit our own bare foundations, our blank slate from which virtuous construction should start.

Shame on Us by Das Scharf & 21dB
In collaboration with
Mó, Greener on the other side & Loopstache.
Frustrated with the current state of the planet, Das Scharf and 21dB join forces to set up a collaborative installation that addresses the shame and silencing surrounding the harm humans inflict on nature and upon themselves.
The installation experience is set to take the visitor on an audiovisual representation as it attempts to portray how the planet is racked in a sphere of exploitation, nuisance and dramatic human-made episodes.
SHAME ON US wishes to provoke and forcefully drag the visitors into a confrontation with nature and themselves.
1- THE SHAMING SPACE:
The pillory was chosen for what it represents; it is a powerful device in which offenders were formerly exposed to public humiliation, degradation and abuse. The 4 minute video projection is divided into 3 acts. It attempts to shed the light on the chronological and evolutionary process that made us who we are today.
Act 1 - The butterfly effect ( 2.5 millions of years ago ):
A single small human gesture changed the course of the planet and irreversibly broke the harmony between man and nature; introduction of tools, migration, fire, agriculture and language.
Act 2 - The brouhaha ( Late 1800s onwards ):
The video sets a glance at how the modern industrial and high tech era are stopping evolution and accelerating the destruction of the planet at unfathomable speed. It is the ultimate scream from a species that will be responsible for its own demise.
Act 3 - Mirror of shame ( present ):
The pilloried visitors will see their own face reflected on the floor.It is the moment when they will be faced with the mirror of introspection.
2 - THE MEDITATIVE SPACE:
It is a space designed for the visitors to digest the experience they just went through.Swings are chosen because they trigger memories, they are the perfect tool for sensory integration. Each of the five audio swings aim to help the visitor relax, understand, ponder, and meditate.

A pop-dinner inspired by the universe of one of the most significant artists and empowering women of the 20th century – Frida Kahlo
During Art Week 2018, INKED will conceptualize through a food experience and 360° multimedia art installation the joyful yet dramatic and indomitable spirit of Frida Kahlo.
The experience will take you in a three-dimensional and immersive culinary journey inspired by the Artist; from her home and sanctuary known as the “caza azul” to her love for the varying shades of cultures which Mexico boasts.
In collaboration with flora&faunavisions and Neumann & Müller Event Technology, LA CASA AZUL will showcase INSIDEOUT by flora&faunavisions. The multimedia art installation was revealed during the Triennale der Photographie in Hamburg, Vienna Design Week, and in Paris at the Palais de Tokyo. It is today taking place at INKED as part of Art Dubai 2018.

Daydream. The body of Work & Art of Aziza is revealed in full colors to
the audience.Reflecting past & future patterns, Aziza transports the public to a surreal world built by her wild imagination.
The intricacies of a woman’s heart are for the few. Who is iolanda? Dalida’s alter ego, or is the reverse true? Who led to the demise of the other, and whose heart bled through? #BecauseAWomansHeartIsHerOwn
Our fashion show aimed to show the dichotomy within Dalida’s persona, one that resonates with each and every one of us. The strong versus the weak. The emotional versus the cold. The heart versus the mind. The love versus the hate.
The fashion show was designed as an interactive performance with talented actors, a sound installation and composition by 21dB in the gardens of Antwork.

Our hero element “ Snow sparkles” is a central audiovisual installation whereby the notion of a music confetti box is introduced. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact and engage by launching the outbreak of colored snowflakes thus sharing a true moment of winter celebration with Dubai Festival City.

Placemaking capitalizes on a local community's assets and inspiration, with the intention of creating public spaces that promote people's health, happiness, and well being. Beirut Boat, the International Boat and Super Yacht Show, is the sole meeting place for the yachting industry in Lebanon with a keen focus on accessible luxury in all its facets. Held from 9 to 13 May at the center of Beirut, the 11th edition will host some of the internationally renowned yachting companies, superyacht builders and designers, nautical suppliers, in addition to well-known brands.
Keeping up with its accessible luxury motif, Beirut Boat 2018 will feature a display of lifestyle, fashion and sports products. A fashion show showcasing some of the renowned labels, as well as a jewelry and automobile display will be among the major attractions.
Beirut Boat paves the way for industry stakeholders, from Lebanon and the Levant, to meet a concentration of elite clientele and boating enthusiasts looking for upgrades, state-of-the-art accessories and equipment, as well as products that reflect their lifestyles.

The Arab social media influencers’ summit is the first of its kind in the region for social media channels influencers; its purpose is to facilitate a gathering where information, ideas, and culture converge, paving the way to anew era in social media usage.The 2016 brief aims to challenge the participants in the creation of a young, trendy and playful platform.
It aims to show a form of growth that would maintain
the position of the summit as a leader in social media.
We proposed a sensorial experience, taking our guests to an engaging audiovisual adventure. We designed a universe that has its own feel, and its own peculiar story to unveil; it engages, includes, fascinates and delights them.
Our aim was to engage emotions and to redefine the social networks of today’s youth. Ultimately, human connection is what we strived for;
It will be at the epicenter of the upcoming summit.
It was a great pleasure uniting Scharf lovers on Sage beach, Berlin. Artists from different backgrounds gathered to present their work & interacted with guests. Summer fresh tunes were played under the Berlin rare sun followed by an open air screening “What’s zap! Channel 6 “ showcasing film talents from Beirut & Berlin. Presented by the Berlin/Beirut Das Scharf collective, WHAT’S ZAP is an indoor/outdoor cinematic event showcasing outstanding video content from across the globe. Launched in Berlin in 2010, its aim is to promote fresh talents and provides them exposure through a “Channel Zapping”. The event itself is a sensorial experience, a friendly get together.
Das Scharf curates a selection of cool shorts, animations, commercials, documentaries and trailers around the world to create one creative playground of video. A signature ritual characterizes What”s zap : Free pop-corn, a vinyl session, a “zap” punch , the screening & an after party with tunes : A video party.

Beirut Boat 2017, IFP group’s most anticipated event took place from the 20th to the 24th of May 2017 at the prestigious Yacht Club, Solidère Marina. Beirut Boat proved to be a successful attraction to marine business companies and nautical tourists. The 10th edition concept promoted "Luxury at Sea", glamorous lifestyle and extravagant diverse display of marine life.
We are happy to announce that we are one of the fifty-one grantees selected by the Roberto Cimetta Fund in 2017 on their general mobility funding line. Roberto Cimetta Fund Supporting the mobility and creativity of artists and cultural operators in Europe, the Arab world and beyond.More insights soon.
We will travel to Valletta, Malta in September to start developing our project for Valetta 2018.
The aim is to build bridges between Lebanon and Malta which share common ground (history and language).
The RCF received 279 written requests of which 199 were considered eligible. The experts examined the applications that matched the eligibility criteria. 137 requests were considered worthy of funding, but only 51 received a grant within the limits of the funds available.

A tribute to the video artist Nam June Paik, titled Perceiving Everyday Life through a Dead TV. This exhibition evolves around the world of Television through the eyes of various Television monitors that serve as projection screens where a new form of mapping is introduced. This exhibition refers to Mood-Art, a dream that the artist Paik had where sound and images are interraleted in their functions. How can we transmit such audio impressions extracted from everyday life from a simple radio add to a supermarket announcement to a visual stimuli in moving colors and shapes? In reflecting the constant TV-Attack such as News and Advertising, we introduce in our video work a new form of perceiving and interpreting everyday life.Our images , mainly based on reality material, are manipulated in their position, shape and form; By projecting constant content through various interfaces, we overwhelm our public with the amount of visual information,creating a kaleidoscopic effect.Our viewer is unable to recognize the principle of order and is drowned in a world of visual chaos. Our visuals reflect a storytelling chaos where our viewer would face a so-called Television Experience; By transforming reality, this exhibition underlines the impact of the information given to us everyday and how they can serve to reflect a world of living colors and motions.

With the aim of exporting it to the rest of the Middle East & Europe, Amaze is a fair of Contemporary Art,Design & Music.
Through this project, Das Scharf primary goal is to create a bridge between Berlin & Beirut, highlighting emerging artists from the Berliner & Lebanese scene.Giving an additional dimension to this project and supporting the artistic bridge between the current European visual cultures and the Middle East.
Q. Why Beirut—Berlin?
A. Berlin and Beirut are both vibrant cities with long and provocative histories, including a series of golden ages, epic drama and inspiring renaissances. Beirut & Berlin have embarked on their own process of reconstruction and renaissance. Beirut is ready to assume its place on the world stage & is more than a potential point of comparison;
it is an ideal role model, and a sister city.

Off the Wall is a photography book that functions like a visual city guide for Berlin, Germany from a non touristic point of view.
From an eccentric and unconventional approach, the book guides the viewer through personal snapshots of a complete OUTSIDER who documents the city, a designer who translates his VISUAL EXPERIENCE through photographs and graphic design.
This book reflects the first contact of any oustider to a new city. There’s a continuous message between a sender[the city] and a receiver [ An outsider, A local ]. When a designer encounters a new field of communication ,he OBSERVES,FILTERS and RECORDS.
This method provides him with a VISUAL FRAMEWORK from which he could establish a new way of understanding a city and its characteristics, and new design solutions to reflect and translate its physical appearance and its graphical components.
