One of the world’s favorite outdoor activities, picnicking is a wonderful way to inspire presence and community. There are a lot of fun ways to eat, but few things triumph the simplicity of laying out a blanket and settling into urban nature with your favorite family & friends and a basket of tailor-made joy.
A good picnic only requires three quality ingredients: good people, tasty food, and a solid location. Nothing better than a Picnic at the Promenade.

SETUP RATIONALE
The Picnic at the Promenade temporary setup taking place from October 2017 to February 2018 revolves around the concept of Parklets & Placemaking. Placemaking capitalizes on a local community's assets and inspiration, with the intention of creating public spaces that promote people's health, happiness, and well being. In order to cultivate EMAAR’s vision of a creative urban culture, the overall look & feel of the promenade is focused on a community-driven, dynamic, sociable and collaborative space.
